Our office offers comprehensive vision and hearing exam as part of the well child care exam.
Vision screening is performed periodically throughout childhood to detect several conditions such as amblyopia. refractive error and Sharabismus using age appropriate methods. Early identification and treatment of vision problems are essential for optimum vision development.
Hearing screening is also provided at recommended intervals, regardless of risk factors to identify hearing loss that may affect language, learning and social development. Screenings use objective evidence-based tools tailored to the child’s age and corporation level.
Children with abnormal screening results are promptly referred for further evaluation by audiology or ophthalmology experts as appropriate.
